All classes are taught one-on-one, in the comfort of your own kitchen, and are customized to fit your unique needs. Your likes and dislikes, schedule, dietary considerations and experience play into the design of the class.
I approach every class with hope that the passion with which I created it will be contagious. Expect all classes to be about more than just cooking a recipe. In addition to carefully researched and created recipes, each class provides you an understanding of the cultural significance of the foods we are preparing as well as grocery shopping insight, tips, and general guidelines to help you build on what you have learned after the class is over.
Getting together to cook with friends is a great way to entertain, reconnect and learn something new. Like private classes, group cooking classes and parties are fully customized to your fit your needs. The pace of cooking class parties is a bit more relaxed than a private class, so you and your guests can do plenty of socializing along the way. As a part of the class fee, I do the grocery shopping (for reimbursement by you) and clean up so you and your guests can relax and enjoy the delicious meal you created together.
Workshops are great for an in-depth look at a subject you are interested in. Topics like stocks, fresh pasta, pie baking and Thanksgiving are best suited to this longer format. Workshops are approximately four hours.
I specialize in Asian cuisines; Thai, Vietnamese and Indian are favorites. But as a mom of two I’m just as interested in healthy weeknight meals and family friendly cooking. Many years of teaching in local cooking schools has led to a repertoire that includes a diverse range of menus, from French and Italian to Mexican and Moroccan.
